Starts at 10:00am. Three man teams. Entry fee is $60 per team ($20 a person), $40 jackpotted. Riders can enter as many times as they would like, as long as there is one rider change to the team (the same team can not go twice).
We are going to pay out extra prize money to the circuit champions!!!!!! Here is how it will work: each time a person enters (in the Open class), they will get 1 point. The people that are on a team that places, get extra points, according to how many places are paid out. For example, if there are 5 places paid out, then the three people on the 1st place team would each get an extra 5 points, 2nd place team would get an extra 4 points each, 3rd place would get an extra 3 points each.....and so on. If there are only 3 places to pay out, then the 1st place team would each get an extra 3 points.....and so on. At the end of our last show (March 15th) we will add up everyone's points, and the person with the most points wins $450!!!!!! Second place wins $225, and third wins $150.
Our circuit winners for 2008 were Jacki Wilkins, Tom Keenan, and Greg Banks! Congratulations!!
Also, we would like to have a "drawpot" class, after the Open class (we sometimes run the open class twice, depending on how many people want to go again). In the "drawpot" class, those who want to enter will put their name in a hat, then we will draw for teams. In this class you do NOT earn points for the circuit champion.
Come have some fun inside our heated arena! Bring a friend and introduce them to the sport of sorting. Don't worry if you don't have team mates, someone here would be glad to ride with you. Spectators are welcome at no charge!

This year we have added "side-passing over a log", and we will also hang up something "scary" on the hay feeder, to make it more challenging.
Spectators, come cheer on these horses and their riders as they show their talent and horsemanship! (There is no charge to watch.) There will be a concession stand from 12:00 to 3:00.

We are putting on a jackpot team sorting, during the fair, at the Filmore County Fairgrounds (here in Geneva), on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 5:00p.m. It will be run the same way as our winter series (SEE ABOVE)........same entry fee & payout, same rules, no finals, same classes (open & drawpot).
